Aetherna the "I Just Get These Headaches"

Both Larissa and Klepsacovic have pointed out that "Insane in the Membrane" is - despite what Blizzard said earlier this year - going away.

A commenter over at TRAOP indicates that you can't even grind Shen'dralar rep any longer, as the quests for libram turn-ins in Dire Maul have already gone away.

So I'm left wondering... do I keep on working towards "the Insane", and count on Blizzard to do something reasonable with regard to the Bloodsail/Shen'dralar reputations? Or do I sigh and go about my business elsewhere?

Decisions, decisions. By my reckoning, I can wait a few more days to see what Blizzard has to say about the matter before I have to decide whether or not I'm going to start slaughtering Booty Bay Bruisers.

  1. I am working on 'the insane' as we speak (found your blog in a search) and I am over 4k into revered with steamwheedle and have finished shen'dralar portion last week, the libram turn in quests are still very much there (also got exalted with zan'dalar in the process turning in the arcanums from the libram turn ins). I still have the '!' on my mini map when I go in to sell stuff.

  2. Wheh! That's a relief. I was going to head there tonight to check it out myself. Still, at this point, I don't know if I can get the Shen'dralar *and* the Bloodsail done in the remaining six weeks or so left. As doing the Bloodsail rep will trash my Steamwheedle rep, I'm reluctant to do so until I have a better idea where things will stand come 4.0.3...

  3. Bloodsail rep is pretty easy, getting steamwheedle back up however is not as quick. However, it should still be doable come 4.0.3. Shen'dralar rep is easy to do if you are willing to spend tons of gold and you will probably have to since all indications show there is not a way to get rep in 4.0.3.

All in all, good luck with whatever you choose.
